Sound Structure for Urbane Oase
Swing Chime is an interactive installation constructed for Urbane Oase in Berlin, Germany.
In response to the urban garden’s attempt to create a “natural” environment within the industrial city, the gentle swinging of the visitor enacts a weighted mobile to scrape directly upon a decaying building facade and produce pulsing sound as a confrontation of the garden with the urban.
