Sound Structures
Sound Structures are constructions that test sonically-sensitive built environments.
Bricks are embedded with electronics and brought into contact, allowing for the materiality of the modules to be amplified and expressed in time. The builder engages in a feedback loop between placing elements and listening—the human choreographs the bricks until the sounds of the bricks choreographer the human to make the next move.
These iterations were documented while in residence at the Amplify Berlin program, which throughout the month involved a series of workshops by Yuri Landman.
